Social Studies - We did the section 1 Vocabulary Builder and Main Ideas worksheet for our unit on Canada.
Science - We went over the notes for section 2. Complete page 19, questions 1-4.
Math - We practiced median and mode. Complete page 15, problems 14-32 EVENS and 35-38 ALL.
Spelling - We worked on unit 2 Learn (page 7) in class. Write the misspelled words from your pretest 5 times each.
English - We wrote the rough draft of our own "Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" stories.
Reading - We finished the vocabulary for "Three Strong Women."

Science - We read chapter one, section two today. Finish all section two notes for tomorrow.
Math - We introduced and practiced mean. On page 14, do problems #1-9 and #34.
Spelling - We started unit 2 and did the focus section in class. Study for the pretest tomorrow.
English - We read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and brainstormed 5 terrible things that could happen to us in our lives.
Reading - We started the vocabulary for our next story, Three Strong Women. Numbers 1-3 should be done.
Student Council applications are due on Friday. They can be turned in to the office.

Social Studies: Finish questions 3-5 on page 11.
Math: Skills review: Long Division page 11; 2-22 evens
Spelling: We took the Spelling Unit 1 test today and finished Spelling Unit 1 in class.
English: The final copy of the introductory letter to the specials teachers is due on Monday.
Reading: Students turned in their comprehension questions today and worked on their collages.
Have a great weekend!

Science: We read and took notes through page 11. Problems 1-2 should be completed (we worked on these in class).
Math: We worked on organizing data using tables. Do problems #6 and #7 on worksheet 1-2 (Problem Solving Strategy: Make a Table).
Spelling: Study for Post Test #1. If you misspelled any of your words on your "5 times each" homework, please re-do these and bring them back. If you have not covered your spelling book, do so tonight.
English: Finish the rough draft of our Friendly Letter. If you want to type your final draft at home, you may.
Reading: We read the end of our first story, An Unlikely Heroine. We started the comprehension questions; if you would like to finish them for homework, you will be ahead of schedule.
If you have not turned in your signed permission to use the internet (page 25 in your handbook) or your recognition of rules (page 33 in your handbook), please sign and return them to the teacher by TOMORROW. The recognition of bus rules goes to your bus driver.

Spelling: We took pretest 1 today and students will write their misspelled words five times each.
English: Finish up the "All About Me" information sheet.
Reading: We finished the vocabulary words today and started reading the story.
Please look over the student handbook in the front of the student planners (assignment notebooks) and sign page 25 and 33. The top of page 33 goes to the bus driver and the bottom half along with page 25 gets turned into the classroom teacher.

Spelling: Did the focus together. Study for Pretest 1.
English: We did the front side of "All About Me" and worked on our collage. Please remember to bring in pictures from a magazine for your collage.
Reading: We started the vocabulary in class 1-3 and will finish 4 and 5 tomorrow as we read the story aloud.
Students can bring a snack for math class and a water bottle. Also, if you have P.E. tomorrow, bring the correct shoes.
